Intake After Fiberglass Fenders

For those running the front All Pro fender flares like me or any other fiberglass for that matter, what did you guys do for the intake? Did you put the splash guard back up somehow? Make your own? Did nothing?

I haven't done anything. But after a recent trip to Death Valley I looked in there in the fender and I was surprised how much dust and dirt was sitting right there. Well, not surprised. Just forgot all about preventing that. Any solutions? I have some in mind but would like to see what others have done.

Good idea. About a year ago I looked at Sarah's truck and she did nothing. Just had it open to the elements like mine.

mines wide open. drove through a shit ton a mud/rain and nothing got into my air box, stopped very very often to check because it was a shit storm out there

 

I just peeked into the opening and saw a bunch of dirt. I'd like to put a little breathable box around it.

 

ya, i just make it a habit to tap the air filter out more frequent

 

Yeah, and run a pre filter to be safe.

Where does the MAF hook up with that AFE kit? This essentially make it a hot air intake because it will draw air from under the hood?

 

Def interested in this too.

 

That AFE one seems too big. I just want something that's small enough to mount in the fender well and be hidden.

Snorkel on a prerunner creates never ending flaming. Lol. If I was 4x4 I wouldn't hesitate.

Ill take a pick and show you what i did

 

I put a prefilter on here. I just used an adapter to go from the stock intake tube size to the filter size. I just have to buy a new filter element

 

Sub'd as I have all-pro fenders coming

Has anyone mounted a snorkel on glass fenders yet?
