The Hankooks have 35K on them and still have plenty of tread left. Discount is ordering me a new one today.

And this is what Lisa is referencing:

I'm not sure of the physics of this, but if it happened, it must be possible.

Discount Tire and 4 other online stores were on 1-2 week backorder for the tire, but I found one place online, tires-easy.com that had one in stock. They have good reviews on Google Shopping, so I went ahead and ordered it. I just didn't want to deal with the uncertainty of the "1-2 weeks". That could easily turn into longer.

This is the most truck-related talk that's been in here in a while

Tire will be here Monday. So far very impressed with tires-easy.com. I ordered at 11 AM yesterday and it left their warehouse 4 hours later. Got my tracking number last night.

Hey KPT! Getting my Hankook dynapro atm's on in a couple hours haha. I had to call about 5-6 shops before I found one that even had them in stock cause they are back ordered so much right now. one shop told me it would be about 1 month realistically so you made the right decision ordering right away. Cant wait to get mine on haha

awesome job on you build. i had a question on your suspension. did you have to change out your springs or anything to put in the 1.75 suspension lift? did you buy the 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable or just the reg. 5100 series

also did you have to mod your head lights to put in the DDM Tuning 6000K HID's b/c i was told that some bulbs could melt your plastic head light.

I can probably help you a little. The 5100s in the front only being adjustable. There is no unadjustable 5100 for the front. And the rears only come unadjuatable.

Ddm tuning are plug and play. If you stay with 35w I think they actually run cooler than your stock headlights. 35w runs cooler than 55w for the regular lights.

Yeah I think I dodged a bullet with that one. got the new tire mounted ysterday.

Adam nailed it. And I like the ride. It is stiffer than stock, so it handles more like a truck than the SUV-like stock ride (IMO).

I've decided the 6K HID's are a little too blue for me, so I just ordered some 5K bulbs for the headlights and fogs. Will post a comparison pic when they come in.

Also going to fix up my n-fabs a bit this weekend. Some of the powder coating has chipped off and there is a little surface rust.

Any tips on painting over powder coat? I was just going sand/grind off the rust, and then use rustoelum primer and then enamel after that over the entire surface area of the steps.

I would think that would do just fine. I'm not aware of any issues with painting over powder coat as long as you rough it up first so the paint sticks.

Yep I'll be roughing up all of the powder coat to help with adhesion.

100%stock, except for the exhaust leak and custom windshield crack mod
If you linex make sure you do a couple layers. I have to do a few more on my bumpers when I get time.

This might sound a little weird...Does your lawn mower have a Honda motor on it?
