    Killer of rats no doubt....:D

I've read where the rat terrier & wire haired terrier were bred to (they say its a fact) actually hunt & kill rats in England & Europe back in the early days of the plague & unusually high rat population, rumor has it that you could stick a terrier in a closed room with a hundred rats & come back in 5 or 10 minutes to find ,well a hundred dead rats.....:)

just like the Dachshound was bred for hunting Badgers of all things, explains the streamlined "weenie" shape to easily go down holes & get back out again.... crazy shit...

Same here, Simon, who has been going up stairs for 10 years, which are hard wood and slippery, has lately needed to be carried up them cause he runs up stais so fast, he slipped last few times and busted his ass, he won't go up on his own now, but will go up first flight on his own, just not second, same amount of stairs, all hardwood. Silly dogs

As far as I know, rat terriers were bred for this, their bodies are very slin n narrow and crawl very well. I don't have rats around. Y house, but chipmunks I do Havel, entry, and, between the cat and the dog, many bodies have been tossed to the woods.

Take some treats with you next time (and a helper). Make them good treats. Then feed them as your helper lights off a few rounds--at first take them away from the gunshot. As they become more comfy, move a bit closer. Don't go too quick but eventually, they'll be good to go.

They're not gunshy at all. They werent happy about my shooting because I suck. THe covey was about 30 birds, and I got off 5 shots, and only hit the one bird.

Hey, I was poking around the ip0wn app store and found an app called "Doggoes" that tells you where all the dog parks are. Not perfect but pretty good.
