Im currently running 265s on my 03 tacoma, it has the v6. I was wondering what kind of power/ mpg loss i was looking at if i added 285s since i just got my lift.

    Thanks

Power loss was enough to make me buy a supercharger and regear to 4.56.
It was that or blow my brains out.

It really depends on your needs.
I built my truck to go as fast off road as on road. I mean, I got by with 285's before putting in the s/c or regear, but I hated driving anywhere that had something even remotely close to a foothill or mountain. Constant downshifting. The 3.4 isn't exaclty known for it's speed to start with. It's better than the old 3.slow, but still.

I have an auto 3.4 with 285 toyo AT's and I didn't notice much of a power loss. It seems your an auto 3.4 as well and Jberry is a manual. The manual owners will notice power loss much more than us auto guys.

a supercharger would give it a big power gain over stock so thats a good excuse to me!
