hell dont say that... they are getting to the price point were most people can buy one. I ordered one on a group buy last month for 230$ with the 200$ tax stamp I am out the door for 430$ thats really cheap!

i want a can, but its just a matter of principle to me
why should i give the gov't an extra $200 for no reason
Price to be a law-abiding, considerate, polite citizen who wants to shoot more quietly: $200
Price to have short-barreled rifle: $200
    Why?

I think of it like this... you gotta pay to play... its always been that way if you want to have cool toys you gotta have cash to do it+ I heard from a little bird that they are going to make the tax 2000$ due to inflation  so I would get all your stamps while you can

that's bs......i'm waiting for the day that someone comes into the WH and puts the ATF or BATFE in their place and quits making life difficult for law-abiding citizens
i'm ignorantly hopeful that the day will come when I, as a law-abiding, CCW permit carrying citizen (who has undergone a thorough FBI background check), can have whatever gun or gun accessories I want without having to pay a bullshit tax

sorry to be the one to say it but thats never gonna happen... I see them putting a ban on suppressors like they did on full autos before they make it easier to get a suppressor. It will be the 2012 suppressor act or some shit.. :(

I dont know man. The NRA has been jumping on the suppressor bandwaggon lately and supporting the use of them. Hopefully they can help make them for mainstream and do away with the gay $200 tax...we should be able to buy them just like any other serialized firearm.

I'd love to have one for each of my rifles!

THere has been a LOT of talk around about making the requirement for a trust/CLEO signature go away too

That would make the process a lot easier too. Seems kind of redundant.

It is going away, done deal (decision has been made, not implemented) barring something out of complete left field to derail the issue. I would assume this is a precursor to closing the trust loophole that circumvents the submission of fingerprints and photos.
