As a Michigan fan I must kindly disagree. UM played 10 bowl teams this year (most ever for any team in one season) and they beat 8 of them (same number or wins vs. bowl teams as LSU and OSU). I agree the game was kind of a stinker, but UM deserved to be there.

This is the ACC champion? WTF?

    W. Virginia putting in subs half way through the third, or they'd have scored 100. How can any team be this unprepared / uninterested?

It's fugly.. Anyone notice the Geritol Kid (aka Holtz) was the only one of the panel that said WV would win? I guess even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then..

My favorite person of this game is the WVU ball boy who thinks he's on the team... After several touchdowns (especially early), he was coming onto the field in the end zone and trying to chest bump or high five players. It made me laugh out loud.

omg yes i'm glad a non WVU fan noticed this hahahaha. no one knows his name but its hilarious when he does. Watch the LSU game highlights and our first TD he high steps and you'll shit your pants laughing hahaha. But it feels so good to be over the Bill Stewart era and being back to national prominence, and no one can deny that that game constitutes national prominence...

Nothing says national prominence like having Syracuse hang 49 points on you, how bout Louisville. Y'all played a great game tonight, but national prominence? I'm not sure, or convinced...

from what i learned tonite...a week of riding jet skis and being on vacation in Miami will sometimes lead to a team forgetting to show up

    First off...congratulations to WV

they flat out...straight up...kicked our asses and that's that

Our offense did their part until the fumble at the 1 that turned into a 99 yard return for a TD

I think that pretty much broke our back

Our d was useless...and outside of the 2 VT games, have pretty much let the offense carry them thru the season

I hope our DC is unemployed by the time he gets back to Clemson...apparently Dabo said something to the effect of "I'll fix the defense" in his postgame interview, and the last time he said that, someone got fired

On the bright side, the trip has been fun...first real road trip with my brothers without my parents in a long time...it was expensive, and I hate that THAT was the performance I got to see...but it is just a football game

    And it was still fun

Oh..and it's damn cold down here!

If WV had out right won their conference and played consistently well all year, I would consider them to be on that level of national prominence. BUT, the Orange Bowl does not mean that WV is all that special IMO.
