Aftermarket relay box?

Does anyone know of a aftermarket relay box? Rather then having 15,000 relays, slight sarcasm, bolted to the side of your bulk head? I know there are remote fuse blocks. But what about relay blocks??

good question, I am about to install quite a few lights and am also interested in this topic

 

This is what I plan on using under the hood. One of the circuits will be ignition switched and wired to another separate fuse box under the dash {probably a blue sea box}. I'm going with schematic config C, hot switched.

What you're looking for is the Bussman 15300 series RTMR PDF here.

I've been all over digikey and haven't been able to find it. Waytek has some similar ones though. They're about 25 bucks.

This is the direction I'd go.

You can build one for around 1/2 the price of the Wagon Gear panel if you have the patience. You have to be careful of which relay module you get because there are several that look very similar.

I think it's THIS one.

Then you'll want THESE for seals around your terminals. And THESE terminals for the mini relays

 

I saw this on Waytek also and this would be a very cost saving measure if someone was inclined. The price from that site assembled was a bit more than I would care to spend.

I see a DIY in my future.

 

I think you will find that it will cost you more if you build it yourself. The box uses metri-pack 280 connectors which waytek sells in bulk so you get way more than you need. You also need a couple of different size seals also sold in bulk, a few different wire guage sizes and colors, fusible link wire or circuit breaker, relays, standoff brackets, metri-pack connector crimper, etc. The only advantage to doing it yourself is that you will have a lot of stuff left over for making metri-pack 280 connectors, which are very nice waterproof units and rated for up to 30 amps.

 

It looked to me like they sold pieces individually but I didn't dig too deep. Nevertheless, the part #'s are there so you may be able to find them elsewhere.

ETA: the connectors and seals are available as individual pieces.
