I have about an 1/8" to 1/4" gap on the front lip. Driving around in the rain the last few days doesn't seem to let much water into the engine compartment. A few drops here and there (and the stock setup is by no means water proof). If too much water is getting in then I'll run a small bead of black silicone across the front, but so far this hasn't been an issue.

Thanks for the replies. My light should be here today. Already purchased the switch from the dealer. I will post a pic of a pirate mica colored install when I am complete.

    Thanks!

I only use it when offroad or when there is no other traffic (country roads, etc). The specter series (or driving series) does a great job at filling in the sides. This particular light doesn't throw quite as far as my high beams (by design), but certainly lights up everything in between. I am able to see many more deer on the sides of the road now .

I noticed that Rigid is coming out with a new set of LED lights, the "SR-M". Looks like they are small (2-3 LEDs). I think these would make fantastic backup lights which may be my next mod. No pricing or release date yet though. I'm beginning to feel light a Rigid promoter! Can someone at Rigid give me a kickback? :D

I was thinking about the 6 inch for the backup light, but I think I may have to wait for the smaller one if they make it.. Thanks for the info Richard

My next mod will be the hidden winch mount. The lights will be a great addition when when using the winch for recovery.

I got the specter series http://www.amazon.com/RIGID-91061-LIGHT-SPECTER-SYSTEM/dp/B005J5W7RU/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt
Looks like they aren't available on Amazon anymore.:(

The standard version in the 10" has 10 LEDs, the Specter has 15 LEDs. Also the specter series is more of a "Driving" light so it won't have the same throw as the spot (or maybe even the spot/combo), but it's 50% brighter. The model number is 91061 for the specter.

This got me thinking of a smaller version as a aux reverse light. Put it on a 3-way toggle for Off-On-Reverse. Might be pretty good for hitching up a trailer at night or when backing up while off-road.

Exactly! This is the next mod that I'm planning (even switched as you said). I Figure I'll put the switch somewhere in the bed. Rigid is coming out with some SR-M (mini lights). No pricing yet, but there is a teaser here: https://www.rigidindustries.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=167
