Depends on what is one the front of the truck or if you plan to do any heavy mods like tube bumpers, winches, plated bumpers.

Thanks for the help!! Not finished yet. When I order the ULK, LR UCA's and OME 885's, I need to know how the 2" AAL hold up. Will be loading a four wheeler from time to time. Or should he get the Dakar leaf springs also. Will He also need to order the diff drop kit. Thanks

    .
The Dakars are the permanent solution to the weak rear suspensions that our trucks have, if he has the funds then get the Dakars

I think 4 x4 will need a diff drop kit, but im not 100% sure. Don't get AAL if you (or him) have the money just get a new leaf pack (dakars). The AAL will give a nice lift but shitty ride.

the toytec ulk and the 885's are two totally different lifts... the ULK comes with toytec coilovers and billys.
the 885's are just springs that replace your factory springs

either this kit for the ULK
or this for the OME lift kit
I would personaly opt for the OME kit and pay the extra $100 to have them asseble the stuts so that when you get them in all you have to do is take out the factory stuff and stick the new ones in. you wont have to worry about spring compressors that way.

also when your ready to order, call them and tell them you are a TW member and I think you can get 10% off (not totally positive on that)

    ^^^^

    This.

You'd be buying two diffent lifts if you get the ULK and the Ome coils.

No surprise coming from me, but skip the differential drop kit.

If he's going to be carrying a quad, I would go for the Dakars. Maybe even some bump stops if the roads are less-than-unimproved and/or decent incline.

Billy's with decent springs or OMEs should be fine in the front (I agree with Zombie Runner on having them pre-built) and some new UCAs. Save a little coin on the front-end and use it to beef the rear.

    OK

I think I have my options figured out if I go ULK: LR UCA's, Dakar for rear and diff drop kit (what does it do?)

OME: 885 coils, do i need top plate spacer?, dakar for rear, do i need shock stone guard?, $100 assembly.

Am I missing any thing for either one? Sorry if i am asking to many questions that may have been answered already, but i feel more comfortable with my questions.

If you get the ULK you have everything you need, don't get the diff drop.

If you get OME you will need the top plate spacer to get the full 3" lift and you will need UCAs. You do not need the stone guards.

For both kits you probably need extended rear break lines.

885's will get you 2 1/2" on a DC with no spacers .

Add a 1/4" top plate spacer on each side to get you the full 3"

Like mjp2 said, you dont need to get the diff drop. They drop the front differential of the truck to protect your cv boots from steep angles ( causes boots to burst) but don't do anything in 2nd gens.

You may want to look into extended brake lines.

If you go with the coils, you will need shocks to go with them too.

Some get 3" lift. Do the spacers after the springs settle, and you are less than 3" lift.

I really like seeing how this thread pulled through and turned the corner with legit, on topic, useful help for a member. Nice job!

I am looking at the same type of purchase! Thank you

It was almost derailed with a comment about something that is none of our business.
