Normally you pre inspect your vehicle and equipment before and after each shift so you stock and restock to make sure you have , if not you are going to be calling the next nearest unit for help

If we have a busy night and are running low, we either go out of service or a supervisor brings us the needed supplies.

Krazie, I agree with you for the most part and it's a damn shame amb crews are abused in such a way. Damn shame... Out of all the people I've worked along side in the hospital over the years, however, there is no one else I have more respect for than good first responders and paramedics.

a shit ton of pressure and something to cover the neck wound with. One of the primary concerns with neck injuries other than bleeding is an Air Embolism

    HOLY FUCK

Thats crazy...such a simple fall and his freakin face is split wide open.

If you can get a tube in the the trachea....maybe the upper airway is so split open that you can just locate where the trachea starts and intubate.

Surgical airway is a possibility if ETT isn't possible.

apparently he hit the concrete wall on the bottom? and a fall from that distance would do it IMO.

he did not live. he lasted about 2 hours in the ICU. I read up on it and they say this happened in Lebanon. and that the chance of living was possible if he had premium medical care. (in this case he didnt.)
