I was wondering how long clutches last. I know it depends on the driver, but on average, how long would you say? Also, how much does it cost to repair it? Thank you

My 1994 had 146,XXX with the original clutch when I sold it. I had a Honda Civic with 178,XXX with the original clutch when I sold that as well.

Just got rid of my ten year old Neon with the original clutch at around 132000 km (82000 miles). It was starting to wear out, but still drove comfortably enough.

Try calling some dealers or reputable transmission shops in your area, that will give you the most accurate answer on a price. Different areas of the country may not be reflective of where you live.

Cosign- that's you best bet. You can also consider aftermarket parts if you have a specific application or you want some longer wear or whatever.

The clutch in my 96 Tacoma 2.7 4 x 4 lasted 185,000 miles, actually the pilot bearing started making noise so I replaced everything while it was out. I didnt thrash it to much and did a lot of highway driving though.
