If You Did It Again, Short or Long Bed?

Like your truck! I almost got a blue one myself!

 

I have a short bed, but wanted a long bed, now I just don't care, it isn't a deciding factor for me. I have no ATVs or Bikes, so bed length hasn't played into anything yet.

 

I like the Long Beds better for work and hauling stuff... But I really would rather have a short bed with a bed xtender...

 

If I were to do another Tacoma, a long bed for sure. I like being able to put my bike and gear in the bed and shut the tailgate.



If I were to do it over, I probably would get a Tundra.

 

If I considered a DC I would want a Long Bed to haul stuff and since I don't do much off-roading it works out

I agree with all of this too ^^ I do a lot of car hauling so a tundra would be a good choice for me

 

short bed. main reason is garage space. i know it's only 1ft difference, but the LB wouldn't fit plus i don't haul much. i even have a tool box in the bed which shortened it even more.

 

All day of bamfness, standard size bed all the way.

Long bed for sure.

This is my third 2nd gen Toyota with a 6' bed. The short bed looks pretty slick from all angles but the side. However, I run out of room when hauling sometimes and I even have a 5x8 enclosed trailer.

I'd rather have a SUV than a short bed. Like a 4runner would be my choice. Why buy a pickup and then gimp yourself with less hauling and cargo space. You bought a pickup for the bed in the first place!?

I have never once said to myself, " man I wish I had less room in the bed." However, on a few occasions, I have wished for more.

I rest my case.

 

Exactly. I'd rather get a 4runner over a 5ft bed truck. I sleep in my truck. No way would I fit comfortably in the 5ft. A 6 ft bed is small enough as it is.

 

My 09 was a long bed, now I have a short bed, both with toolboxes. Just carry some straps so you can haul with the tailgate down.

 

I'd buy a long bed if I could get it with 6spd and off road .
So short bed over & over & over!!!

 

I love my uws. More expensive, but pure quality.

 

Uws makes low pro ones. Fyi, you don't loose any rear vision with a regular one.

 

I'd go with a short bed again. Nothing against the long beds....I just don't need it.
