The only thing about walker valley is that the trails are very difficult.

Well if it wasn't dead winter I'd suggest Gifford Pinchot National Park on the North end but the Forrest service has closed most the roads to anywhere worth while.

How about some other kind of meet up, then a trail run in spring, or when we get a good place open? Walker is a pretty sweet place, but you have to be set up for deep ruts and crawling pretty much. If you aren't lifted with big tires, lockers, and a winch, you are out of luck up there.

It took us a bit of work getting the Oregon meets going, but some quick advice: Don't poll when or where. Just find one good place, one decent time, and shout it out. If there's no interest, choose something else, but you aren't going to please everyone, you aren't going to find the perfect time. Not everyone can do all trips due to setup, so keep varying. One month Evans, one month Tahuya, one month Gifford,... just bang them out!
It's much better to create a mass quantity of trips to a wide array of locations.

You are more equipped than you give credit for. My first 'real' trip was dead stock, no experience, and I made it through moderate trails at TSF with not a scratch. Just let the rest of us know to watch out for you, plus pick a destination that's not totally balls-out.

I have been wanting to get to a mod day, but it seemed like there was more interest in some kind of trail run haha. Olympia is quite a drive for me though :O

Sad to say, but I think only about 10% of the crowd is going to be ready for something where a near-dedicated rig is necessary (I can think of about 3 guys in the area that are active on the forum).

I'm still completely new to the area but I heard mention that Tinkham road has some good snow areas?

My buddy lives in snoqualmie, which is like ten minutes from there. He drives a 98 I think. He isn't a member though. I heard there are awesome places around there though.

Isn't there a LONG tunnel 1 mile + at the beginning of that road? Popular with mountain bikers?

    Waiting on parts!
I am currently in Massachusetts, but I am from WA and loved to wheel there. I highly suggest "Evans Creek ORV" located out by Carbonado (our near Buckley/Orting along HWY 165)

You will need to stop by the Burnett, WA Chevron gas station to by a one day pass if you dont already have one (like $3-$5), but well worth it for the trails.

It offers all levels of wheeling Rock/Mud/Technical Trail/Hill Climbing/Great Views.

Great place to go for snow wheeling as well. (Elevation is 4000 - 4500ft)

I would be down for that. I just have to get my front end fixed before then. It's making some clanking noise I gotta diagnose tomorrow...

Wilkeson looks like a good place. And I'll be in redmond on weekends so the drive there wouldn't be too bad.

I would love to see a NW mod/bbq day happen like the AZ and SoCal guys seem to do so well. With our weather, summer might be more realistic for getting one together but if/when we do I would be open to hosting it. The house I'm in now can probably fit about 20 Taco's in the driveway...

Tinkham is Exit 42 and does have good trails. Seems like all.on.black has posted snow wheeling pics from it before. As far as the mountain bike tunnel, that is off Exit 38, runs a mile through the mountain and comes out on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass at Hyak.
