Got some pic finally posted. Added some 20% tint, weathertechs, and a slim tool box.

I thought the new weathertechs hadn't come out for the 2012s yet? Did you just get the early model and mount them differently?

whaaassuup deadhed61. my truck is a 2011. i heard about weathertechs not being available until middle of summer for the 2012 tacoma. i guess maybe they have a little different floor setup?

love my TX. i see you got the TX Pro. is the TRD exhaust worth it? (i know there's many posts and threads on peoples opinion with the TRD exhaust). just wanted to know what you thought. Since mine is the TX, it came with black steps and wheels, no TRD exhaust.

Didn't even see that yours was a 2011.....The 2012 are essentially exactly the same except for the mounting points. I guess after the Toyota gas pedal recall they had to change that.

I LOVE the TRD exhaust so far! It's loud enough and throat-y enough to notice its there, but not over powering and annoying on long drives. Personally, I can't stand driving a truck/car that is loader, so it's perfect for me!

dammit.. now i kinda want me some TRD exhaust. as with most things i don't really NEED it, but... we'll see. i wish i would have told them to just add it at the stealership when I bought it, but i didn't.

i know it's a whole different subject.. but i think i'd really like one of those Tuffy Storage boxes for the bed. I can't believe toyota didn't put locks on those things. But they're $180.. kinda expensive.

keep on TX and TX PRO... and I"ll change my profile so it shows the 2011 year.

You can add a simple lock from Home Depot to make those storage spaces a LITTLE more safe. It's pretty easy and cheap. It's just they're made out of plastic and are also accessible from under the rear fender, so if someone really wants to get in them, they will. I was thinking about just fabbing up my own out of some scrap stainless to replace them but it's not my first priority for the truck right now.

That's probably what I'll do (add the locks). I found that thread on TW that was very helpful using the cabinet locks from Home Depot or Lowes. And like you said, if someone wants them that bad, they'll always find a way. I only keep my bungee cords, ropes, cheap flashlight, and zip ties in them anyway.

Yeah I've been looking at those cause they sound pretty solid, but for the complete kit, they are a ton of $$. which I don't understand cause it's just bent sheet metal. Gotta see how much it will cost to re-route my TRD cat back exhaust too...... But if a GB was going on soon, I'd definitely get on board if it was worth it.....

First mod was a 6k HID kit
    then... SNUGTOP Camper shell

That was it for quite a while as I gathered parts
First item on the list was Dr coilovers & Camburg UCA's
awhile later I picked up some DEAVER J66 leafs and pro comp rear shocks
after doing some research i figured I might need the sway bar relocators so I picked those up on EBAY for 20bucks
trying to decide what wheel/tire combo to go with, I realized that I wanted to keep the factory TX wheels and I picked up decent but used set of 295/75/16 BFG AT's.

December came around and so did Christmas
I got and installed my weathertech window visors and got 5% tint all around

as of yesterday January 13th 2012 I had installed all of my gathered parts and this is how he sits now!!! Hope you like!!!

Oh! Also added a 13" stubby factory looking antenna

This was when I picked up the shell from Lake Havasu

Of course I couldn't keep it white... I stopped by Maaco to get a quote and they told me something like 250 or something. I told them WTF you guys paint entire cars for that price LOL so I decided to get some primer and color match paint then some clear.

3" front and about 1.5 to 2" in the back.. I haven't taken it wheeling yet but it doesn't rub while daily driving.. When I do take it through some trails, i'll post how it goes.. :D
