my fiance and i are looking to get married in TN. we both live in LA. chose TN for both families to be able to come without a lot of traveling. anywho, my question is - how long does it take to apply for the marriage license? and we are wanting a JP to do it so how do they usually work? any info would be great. thanks.

We did this. We applied online for the license. Can't remember the process but it was very easy. I think we had to go to the courthouse to pick them up. It should tell you on the chamber of commerce web site for the city you need I think.
