Buddy of mine bought a 2011 FX4 with the 5.0L. It had 2 miles on it when he bought it... now has 10,000 and has had 2 brand new transmissions because they have a faulty pump inside them.. but yea I'd defiantly buy a ford NOT!

Hell....If I needed a bigger pickup I'd be all over the raptor even with the bending frame. I don't jump trucks though.

Business rules must be different in the USA. Leasing is a write off in canada and if bought out must be depreciated. Depreciation is pretty well the only thing you can do for a brand new vehicle that is being financed/bought outright.

I'd be balls deep in that blue raptor! Are they SUA or SOA?

I drove a tundra crewcab with 5.7 for a while, for a full size it'd be a tough call between a raptor and tundra. FWIW, the tundra was pretty good on gas.

[IMG][/IMG]Hey guys after starting this thread several weeks back I did end up with the raptor. Several things went into this decision. The main one was my tax credit due to the size of the vehicle being over 6000 gvwr. The truck is simply amazing. Its really bit, barely fits in my garage, rides like a cadillac, sounds like a beast, gets around 14mpg mixed highway/street. Oh did I mention I live in south padre island and took it on the beach, it really does 80 mph over sand burms and drives like an RC10. The tacoma is a fantastic truck and I wouldnt mind having the raptor and the tacoma. For now The Raptor will be in the garage until gas hits $6 a gallon then it will probably be on craigslist. Heres a pic from yesterday. [IMG][/IMG]

just figured out how to insert the image :) Thanks everyone for the input on the decision. I was really close to getting a '12 taco and taking it directly from the dealer to the shop for a 3" lift, tires, king shocks, SC, etc. The fact that this truck has a warranty on all parts from factory played a large role. I'll stop beating you guys to death with raptor stuff. Enjoy the tacos they are fantastic trucks.

just FYI... don't be so sure on Ford covering stuff under warranty. you need to fix the rear frame issue ASAP, just to be safe... even if you are not going to be romping on the truck hard. and don't expect ford to cover cost of rebuilding the shocks is you blow a seal...

great looking truck. i want one so bad
