This has been a thought I have had for a while seeing that majority of the lift kits for Tacomas are fairly expensive when you get into bigger lifts, I was looking at a 3in lift with the spacers that go on top of your coils and thought about adding a couple inches by cutting it and replacing the center tube with one that's 2in longer there for getting more lift I have seen it on Chevys but not on a toyota but something tells me if no one else has done it that it probably isnt a good idea anyways just wondered what everyone thought and any problems that you might see with this modification

    I wouldn't do it...

Spacers can cause damage. A giant spacer would have more potential for damage.

after previously owning 2 lowered trucks, i've learned never to mess with the stock suspension ever again. looks good but ride quality is shitty. thats why im stock, plus im broke too lol

I agree with others, terrible idea and go with spindles for more lift. Most suspension components, you get what you pay for. Going cheap rarely works out well.
