    I need to see the inside of the switch.
    So here is the deal, i will give you one, if you help me with the fitment/development, since i do not have a 2012. IF you can get that switch out, and take some picks of the inside, we can continue on.
    Let me know,
    S

    Got my kit in the mail the other day, looking to do the install this weekend, kit is cleanly assembled, thanks.

    Quick question regarding the wiring...

    If I go the OEM route (soldering to the existing board) - will I be able to dim the 4x4 light - like I would if I were tapping off the A/C panel?

    I would like to go the OEM route, but since the switch isn't illuminated from the factory, I am just wondering whether or not I will be able to control the brightness with the dimmer like the other switches...???

    Any thoughts, and thanks again!

    David

    Hi David,
    You have to tap the AC panel regardless of the wiring method used, as there is no power at the OEM connector. Feel free to ask questions as you go.

    Shannon,

    So I decided to do the Non-OEM install. Very simple and quick install. I just went from the board to the AC wires directly. Directions said to reverse the polarity if I go this route.

    IS THIS WHAT YOU MEAN BY REVERSING THE POLARITY?

    I wired with T-Taps:
    Red->Green
    White->Green w/white stripe

    [IMG]

    I also drilled a hole in the brown stock plug and ran the wires through it.

    Put mine in today. Used the paper towel rod trick to see if it works since it's bright as hell outside. Works great and I'm quite proud of myself. Hardest part was getting the back of the damn switch off without breaking anything. Thanks a lot Shannon. Will recommend this to anyone I meet.

    Shannon...this is probably a stupid question but what is that little brown plastic piece on the back of the switch that you have to remove to thread the wires through the back? Also, I didn't put it back on because it doesn't seem important, should I have put that piece back on after I threaded the wires through the back? Thanks.

    I drilled a tiny hole in mine and threaded the wires through it:
