Thanks all! I'm really liking the look. You can't really see it in the pics but I really need to re-do the stereo face plate. A couple mistakes that just glare out at me when I get in the truck. The overall look of everything works well for me though. The stuff has texture to it also! Not like the smooth print stuff. It was on really well when I ripped it off the cup holder to re-do it. I'm very impressed with the quality of the material.

the pattern of the vinyl is goin the opposite way on the radio and the ac controls. other than that looks good

Intentional. Wanted the contrast.

 

I used primer only on edges I couldn't fold over. Seems pretty durable. It's thick and has texture. I bought 24" x 48" sheet and still have a lot left. Easily enough to do another radio face and a couple door controls. That was after wasting some on my first attempt on the cup holder.

 

Very nice job, I ordered mine a few month ago, just don't have the time to do it. I am alittle worried about taking the stero apart and not getting it all back the right way and only getting the news channel for the rest of my life

 

Take your time and give yourself a large, clean work area. Then you can lay out all the pieces as you remove them facing the way they go back in. You can also take pictures as you remove each piece to reference for assembly. Keep track of the various screw sizes. Remember not to try and remove the climate control panel until you remove the faceplate circuit board revealing the one screw.

Hey buff, keep coming' back to this thread. U did a great job, may have to copy some of it as well so, do you think this 3M stuff would work on the center storage console cover---assume I'd have to remove the leather, but thought it may look killer if done well?

 

I don't think it would work very well on anything that's soft. Needs to be hard. Once you heat it up to form it over things it cools and becomes rigid.

Still reading this forum makes me spend more $$.
I have a shiny stereo in my tundra too.
Time to spice up the dash it is boring & the door plates too.

So for instance on the center console, did you just wrap over the cup holders then cut the holes out? Or did you trace and cut them out prior to sticking it on?

 

Wow, turned out awesome! Another mod makes the list.

 

I like it. I think it would look great in my 06, but my dash & console are that weird silver textured plastic. I don't think it would stick well.
