The detroit is smooth around corners. The noise isn't too over powering, and FWIT it sounds cool when you hear it shut. No need to ever worry about busting an air line or fraying wires. If you go e-locker you have to replace the whole third member or the entire axle housing IIRC (one or the other). The ARB's are the best route for daily driven off roading, but for half the 2/3rds of the price the Detroit will never let you down. Oh, and on the chirping thing, only if you are on road aired down will it chirp the tires. Give it some thought...took me 4 months to decide with funding for both ARB and Detroit.

cool man, thanks for the input. I know someone here in town with a locked SR5 like mine and it chirps like crazy. Im going to have to ask him what kind it is.

edit: he has a powertrax no slip.

Alright, put me down for a maybe. If i can get new tires, sliders, re-do my rear springs and get rid of the BL, then im down!

I will be coming from Canada, and maybe bring a Sas'd 92 pickup :D

No doubt man :) does he have those powertrax front/rear? For the price of the powertrax F/R can be done quickly. My original plan was detroit rear/powertrax no slip front

Heard of several ppl just locking the front. Then when ever ya engage 4wheel drive your locked. But i use it to much to justify that haha

I still get nightmares... the funny thing is, when i went to Toyota and asked how my springs looked, they said they looked fine. As long as the gappage between the leafs doesnt get really bad, then its not dangerous... But as soon as i get some more dough together its going to the shop!

but for some reason, i dont get axle wrap? :notsure:
