That blows man sorry to hear. I put a dent in my hood (right in the front) a few months ago. Running through the woods here slid into a tree. Dented to hood and pushed in the bumper, I pushed the bumper back out with my hand but the hood is not fixable. I put a little touch up paint on it so it won't rust, maybe in a few more months i'll get a new hood. thought about a certifit hood but i have heard mixed reviews on them so IDK what to do

So I drove around all weekend with no fogging, but after my ride to work this morning they are fogged inside. Should I take them apart and re-seal or wait till they dry out and try to silicone the outside? If that doesn't work, and I have to re-bake them, what will the silicone do in the oven?

Could moisture be getting in other places, like where the parking/turn signal lights are. I need to mention that it was a beautiful day out when i did the retro, but since then it has been raining. No moisture in the light all weekend untill i drove to work this morning

Is there water physically in the headlight? If not it could just be that there was a little moisture from humidity that got trapped in there when you sealed them back up and just needs to be burned out. I would drive all the time with the lights on for a couple of days and watch it when it rains. Also check the vent. If it fogs up again, it will need to come apart. Did you use more/new sealant when you reassembled them?

Yes, I put new sealant in when they were reasembled. I left the factory sealant in there but i also put the black butyl rubber in there. I believe they are sealed up tight, i don't see how there could be any leaks but who knows.

It's been my experience the silicon does not adhere to plastic well, at least my headlights it didn't. I'd wait a few days before busting them open again.

I'm still waiting for my kit to arrive. I guess this is one of the drawbacks from being on the West Coast.
