    Bad advise.
Good way to warp the rotors, boil the brake fluid, destroy the wheel bearings, and most likely cause an accident.

Eric, don't run it without front axles.

hmm, i didn't know all of that. Only reason I said that was cuz i remember seeing another member doing that for awhile when he didn't have long enough axels. It was the black 1st gen with a camburg/icon setup i think

It's doable, but not as simple as just removing the axles. You either have to get spindles from a prerunner (which are identical except for what's inside them) or put prerunner spindle guts in your 4x4 spindles. That's why the TC LT instructions say the following:

    ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***
    1. 4WD TRUCKS CANNOT BE DRIVEN WITHOUT AXLES
INSTALLED! Wheel bearings will fail causing serious damage
    and/or injury.

I agree but have a differing experience....

What if a 1st Gen 4x4 wants an Engage kit.........They offer it....

They claim to have 4x4 axles in the making.....or whatever their deal is..

In the mean time it is said to dissasemble your axles using only the inner and outer cups. The splined outer stub is retained in the hub to help with failure of the bearings, and the inner cup is left in the diff. I have a buddy whos been running his first gen with an Engage kit like this for almost a year now

    I didn't say I'm recommending, I'm just saying :stirthepot:

I'm sure Engage has would have no problem doing that.
While Engage is at it, ask if they can blow out the LCA pivot and rip off a leaf spring mount from the frame. :stirthepot:
