need advice on price on truck

my dad is talking to a guy selling his tacoma.
its a 05 2wd 6cy with 50,000 silver clean
what price you think would be good?

he said he was asking for 17,000
and carmax told him 14,000

need your help tacoma world

it does have a cap (bed)
not trd edition

 

$17,000 sounds too high for a 2WD. Reg cab, access, dc? $14,000 sounds a little more realistic.
