    What is the largest size tire I can put on my stock 2012 Tacoma without rubbing. It has 245/75/16s on it but looks like it has room for something a good bit larger.

    Thanks, I was hoping I could go with a 265/75/16. I will probably do that when the stock tires get worn out.

    I run 265/70/R17 on stock suspension with no rub at all... probably gonna need to lose the mud flaps though.

    That size works great but will make your milage take a bit of a hit comparred with the 245/75/16.

    I just went with 265/70/16s. They make the truck look, feel & drive so much better than the E load 245/75/16s did. The mpg & speedo have changed none.

    No money, all went to truck...
    anyone have problems with the antilock brakes after installing larger tires? I had a 4runner that constantly miscalculated antilock brakes because of larger tires.

    But there's a reason we refer to the stock tires as Rugged Fails.

    according to my GPS my speedometer reads fast with stock tires, going larger might actually make it more accurate.....

    Many posts on this fact, but to repeat: With 265/75-16 Dynapro ATM tires (replacing the stock 265/70-16 Rugged Trail tires) my speedometer went from reading too fast to reading spot on, yea!

    When my speedometer said I was going 68 mph, my GPS said I was going 65. Now, they both read 65 at the same time! 265/75-16 (for Tacomas with 16" wheels) works ideal... plus the added ground clearance and no rub even off roading.

    You can run 16's on a Sport, the calipers and rotors are the same between the OR and Sport.
