Yes Red is also another great hill. There are also about 40 great cat skiing operations in the lower interior BC as well.

Holy shit. You have no idea. The "good" snow we've been hiking to ski is what wouldn't normally get an acknowledgment.

The saying around here right now is "the ski bums are turning into real bums"

    Hey pyroskier,
My wife and I are supposed to be going to Snowy Range in March. I hear there isn't any snow. What's your thoughts?
(By the way sorry to butt in)

It's snowing right now! Trust me, it hits HARD in Feb and early March. And I'm not kidding... I guarantee that there'll be snow. I was up there the other day, and everything was open. Yeah, there was some exposed stuff, but I promise you 100% that it'll get tons of snow. I'll keep ya posted though. You got a LONG time for snowpack to build! And that's what this thread is for! You aren't butting in, just contributing :D!

try skiing in the north east...you learn to ride on ice..if you can't handle variable conditions, don't ride on the mountain...

I was skiing @ Winter Park ''Mary Jane" last Friday. The conditions were TERRIFIC, nice and loose snow, not icy at all, small breeze, and sunny.

Some previous thread marks, but nothing objectionable. All and all a GREAT skiing day. I was told by everyone and their mother in Denver that there was no snow... ;)

Cool! That is exactly what I wanted to hear. A co-worker of mine grew up in Laramie and his Mom (who lived in Laramie) just passed away. He said about the same thing as you. He goes there several times a year to ride his snowmobiles.
We have not been to ski since we were both in high school (ugh...15 years ago) and just decided to go. Was hoping it would work out. We'll see if we can remember how to ski or not. We may end up taking a class for a refresher.

    Thanks again.
