Nothing yet. The air pump on the 2012 is in the way of where the CAI would be.

The air on the Tacomas -are- CAIs. Most CAIs you can buy take in the same or warmer air than what they come stock with. Air is drawn in from the passenger side front fender area.

The only one that might be cooler air is the URD which pulls it from the front grill area, but there have been several people who have hydrolocked and wrecked their motors with em, so something to watch out for.

Basically if you want it for looks or a bit of noise, have at er, otherwise you're wasting money.

With the URD at least one I saw drove through nothing deeper than a puddle.

AFAIK the AFE just sucks air from the same spot as the stock intake so provides no benefits over stock other than like you said a bit more intake noise.

The only one that might suck colder air that I've seen is the URD but again the hydrolock problems would keep me away.

That's for sure. A bit of ram air, cold air, cleaner air, water proof...snorkle would be the way to go if it fits your look!

Workman installed a TRD code air intake on his V6 recently, and his horsepower went up 30-70, from 1500-2000RPM.
    MPG+32
    Workman recommends this upgrade:eek:

Workman is also full of shit....
