repeat, repost, use the search function, blah blah blah. Anyways, here's what I wanna ask:

Wondering which of the following to get,I just got a half dozen or so quotes on each of the following units, here's the best prices I can find:
    Leer 100XR @ 2260
    Snugtop Rebel @ 2049
    Snugtop XV @ 2499

Let's not make this a discussion about prices and where to get a better deal please. Just want peoples opinion on which one is the better unit to buy at these given figures. Thanks for the input [if I get any].

I have a LEER 100XQ. I love it...good fit and finish...matches the factory paint exactly.

I have heard good things about Snugtop... Toyota used to offer it as a factory add-on. I chose LEER, because they were the closest dealer to me.

Thanks for the input guys, I'm starting to, after some more research, lean heavily towards the snug top XV...a little pricey, but I'm thinking I'll be heading that way. Whichever route I go, I'll be ordering it friday and I'll be sure to follow up here with a few [or bunch] of pictures and a little write up on what I think about it.

I have a Snugtop MVP that is pretty similar to the Rebel. If you put a shell on you can't see worth a crap anyway - save your coin for other mods.

Cause the closest store is in MO I believe. Not sure if the ship or not. But why ship a top. Unless it's a softtoper.

    Salmon,
I'll take that strongly into consideration. Like I said I'll be going to the dealer Friday to make an order. I'll investigate the up close appearance and options of both when I get there. There's a chance I'll be doing like you suggested. We'll see in a few days.

I got the XV and have been very happy with it. The dog loves it too. If I had to do it over again, I would get the same thing.

Fisher plow, BakFlip and Snugtop cap, Demello Sliders, Scanguage,
Snugtop Super Sport here. Very pleased with the cap, but take it off in the winter for better visibility when plowing. A side note: A buddy of mine has a Leer on his Tacoma. He went cheap and bought one without a carpeted lining. When he carries his dogs in the box in cold months, he opens the sliders between the cab and the shell. The moisture from the cab and the dogs' breath condense on the unlined roof of the shell and then drip all over the truck box and dogs. Good thing they're Labs. They probably enjoy it.

Well, I know I'm definitely going for one with a carpeted liner inside, thats for sure. As for the Leer, I just can't justify not spending the extra 250 for the Snug when the XV is so much "more" canopy than the Leer. Who knows. I'm still in the research phase. Heading for some visuals on friday. The other thing is I'm only looking at a 4 week wait on the SnugTop but like 5-6 on the Leer. I know delivery time differences that small shouldn't sway a purchase decision this big, but it's still there.

Weahertecs, Bed met, Snugtop, Avid sliders, TSB Springs, Bilstein 5100's @1.75,
Did the same comparisons and chose the snugtop. Very happy with the snug and would buy it again. Paint matches the pyrite mica perfectly, carpet interior is nice, fit is good and doesn't leak. Only regret (not enough funds at the time) was not getting the roofrack set up at time of purchase.
