There's two routes, one (the way I am doing it): you need to acquire ~5600 hrs in the carpentry field as a carpenters helper/labourer, complete 6 months of inclass theory work and then write a national certification program to become licensed across Canada. 2) any joe blow can go write the test if they have 3years in as a 'carpenter'

Ya it's diff for us, we looked into for a previous employee and there's a certain ratio of licensed carpenters:apprentices

there was 18 guys in my 4th year class, me and one other guy passed the red seal exam.

that's good news... how much exercise do your dogs need to be happy and content? Do they like to retrieve?

That's the way Ollie and Annie used to play. Annie won't retrieve anymore and Zoie won't at all. Ollie and Annie used to run around the back yard half a dozen times, several times a day. Annie will only run half way, once or twice. The rest of the time she has a 50+ pound growth attached to her neck. I can't run Zoie with my bike anymore and I can't walk the miles that she needs. I need to find a way to give her the exercise she needs, without hurting her and I'm out of ideas

 

There's no place close except for a STINKY drainage pond that could have snakes That's if she'd even want to swim

 

No, but I might have to get one... when I was running her, she had quit her psychotic barking.... she has started again and I know she's not happy

 

Yeah, I'll have to look into one.... wish I could run her on my bike... she absolutely LOVED to run.

 

Bailey comes over on occasion, but she's not much into playing.... although she was better the last time. Bailey doesn't have dogs behind her and she was more interested in the dogs that live behind me. People across the street have weiner dogs. Dogs behind me are small and old, both the two behind me and kitty corner... And the other one across the street - that dog is mean

Since you mentioned play dates, I think Bailey's mom has a treadmill..... hmmm wonder if I could try it out....

Even when I take her to the dog park, she's not much into playing... she spends more time sniffing

 

Oh, no, with the springer that's designed to run dogs, there's no way - even with both girls. After our accident, doc said he thinks she might have hip issues. I don't want to hurt her if she does. Think it was you who mentioned bones and ligaments growing until dog is 18 mos to 2 years old... and the constant pounding of running.

She's not happy and it's not fair to her, so I need to come up with something for her. She also LOVES to dig holes
