So yeah, I am just curious if this will ever come out, aka the InCross concept. I was tossing back and forth about whether to get a Taco or not. I've got some guy interested in my Fronty and he wants to look at it tomorrow. I'm asking 10k FIRM so we'll see. The most I've got at dealerships was $8k, so this would be a great chunk of change to go towards a Taco. However, I had almost accepted the fact that no one would buy my truck and I'd just drive her until she runs into the ground. The latter option would be more motivating if I knew that the InCross would ever come. Any ideas? -rye

Not sure if Toyota would ever do it. I have thought that if you take the bed from the 4 door short bed, and Cab fron an access cab, and put it on a regular cab frame......it should work......

Hi Rye.. good luck on selling the fronty. I wouldn't buy a short bed access cab, but there could be others out there who would like one. Just get the Taco... you'll need something to drive :D

Well I'm dealing with a Fronty with a short bed (I think it's like 4 foot!). But the only thing I use it for other than miscellaneous things is my dirt bike and with the tail gate down, it fits just fine. Every time I've accepted the fact that I'll keep my Fronty someone from Craigslist emails me (After I forget the ad is still running, of course). I guess we'll see. If this falls through, which I'm sure it will, I'm going to delete the ad and then probably abandon this board and head back to ClubFrontier. This board is great, but it's like a buffet that is out of reach for a fat person, lol. One day I'll rejoin so hopefully my username will still be here when that day comes... I would just be SO pissed if an Access cab short bed came out. I'm not one to go from one truck to the next so I'd hate to trade her in for that and then be in even more debt! Now having a "project" of switching frames, cabs, beds, etc woud be interesting... and very mechanical for someone who is not!

I would think if it was coming out it would be out by now. If you think about it, most buying an Access cab is more concerned about cargo than passenger space (or they'd get the double cab) so they would want the bigger bed. I think the only reason that they have 2 bed lengths in the double cab is that make a truck with large passenger space that also fits in the garage it needs the shorty bed.

Out of curiosity, why would you want that? I can understand it for the double cab, though I wouldn't want it myself. But it seems like with a access cab you'd be sacrificing alot of cargo space, for no real gain.

    Its a bicycle.
^ short vehicles wheel a little better,

the wheel base on my jeep is like 80 inches,

but i dont crawl it. so the usefulness is lost on me.

and if you have a bit of skill, a tacoma AC will outwheel a jeep when properly outfitted.

especially if you bob the bed, which is much easier to do BEHIND the rear wheels, than in front, like the incross!
