I hate backorders!!

So I ordered a Fold-a-Cover G4 for from Truckaddons.com on Friday Feb 20th and they never sent me a confirmation e-mail or anything, but they did withdraw the funds from my bank account, go figure.

Anyway I went to their website to try to track it down and it said I must wait 5 business days, well today was the 5th business day so I filled out the tracking request and got an e-mail back saying that the cover is on back order and should arrive in 2 weeks.

This really sucks.. I don't have a backseat at all because I have to carry all my gear for work back there, see attached photo.
I would hope that no one would steal a firefighter's gear from the bed of their truck but I'm not taking that chance.

I just got my truck a few days ago and came from a F-150 Supercrew so I already feel cramped in the Tacoma and now I have to live with this for another 2 or 3 weeks! This sucks!

I was contemplating just canceling my order but truckaddons had it about $40 cheaper than any other website plus it comes with a free remote start and tailgate seal, which are probably both gonna be complete pieces of shit anyway....

The only e-mail I received so far... and I had to contact them to get it which is BS if you ask me.

Tracking/Damage Claims ​

Sarah,
No one told me the item was out of stock when I ordered it and frankly I do not think this speaks well of your company's customer service policies. This is the first e-mail I received regarding this matter.
I was never sent a confirmation e-mail after purchase, nor did I receive an e-mail telling me the status of my shipment.
I had to wait 5 business days just to inquire about my order only to be told the item was not in stock.

Please forgive my tone in this e-mail, I realize you had little to do with any of this except for tracking down the status of my order, I am just a little annoyed at the moment.

Please keep me posted on the status of my order as I am eagerly awaiting its arrival.

tell me about it. me and my buddy both orderd a 6" fabtech lift on the same day feb,11 and his came in in a cupple of days and he just got it bak today from getting it installed. in oh yeah mine is on f*ckin backorder and is suppost to b shiped the 1st of march. just a another week or so but sill its bs to pay that kind of money and they dont even have it like there suppost to. but wat can you do!

 

Also on the list of things I have to wait for:
I went to get rims and tires yesterday, 5-7 day wait.

you carry around your stuff with ya? Unless your a chief or first responder, why?

 

Understand your feeling's in regards to "back orders" been waiting 2 months for one item.
Thing that gets me is when you order, they say things are in stock, but then you get a phone call or e-mail a couple days later and they tell you they are on order.
Can't win for loosing sometimes.

 

i understand ur feelings on back orders i ordered a brushgaurd for my truck at the end of JANUARY and got part of it in like 3 days and its now march and the rest of it is still not here yet but they sent an e mail saying that it will be here on the 6th but idk they have sent like 3 other e mails saying it was gonna be here earlier but then they say its not gonna be here untill later

 

Because I'm a floater, but by the time this thing comes in I'll probably have a permanent station.
