I really apriciate teh offer! Right now, I cant do anything until Sat. morning, and we are meeting with some people to get things rolling. The prayer and thoughts offer more support than you can imagine!

    Thank you to evryone!!

I finally got some sleep last night, and am awaiting a call from my Brother to see how things went last night. One of the people up there had an abandoned Winnebago, but it had no tires, or wheels. Another guy used his dozer, and they drug it to the propperty. Today they are working on getting power to it so Jason and Michelle have a place to live in until they can rebuild! Should at least be better than the shelter, and give him the peice of mind that they are at least on their propperty. Im hoping to hear good news about Fred in a few hours as well.

I also want to extend a big Thank You to the local folks who have gave clothes, wash cloths, etc.!

Please keep the thoughts and Prayers Commin!

It's gonna be a long haul to recovery I'm sure, that's where family rallies around to get the job done. We appreciate this site and the sense of community it gives us, in a real sense, we are all family. Keep us posted please.

PS, I got dibs on coming down and building irrigation systems for your brother's new house, I'll work for food and gas money!:)

LOL!! I WILL let you know! We're anticipating it taking about a year to get back to "normal", but hoping for 6 months.

Also, Not sure if I mentioned it or not, But I contacted Habitat For Humanity, and they have no recourses in his area. They did say they would sell him appliances, windows and doors for 50% off. So...not sure we will be dealing with them for the time being.

Im not sure. A small "miracle" was found last night, in that, when the shop burned down, all our shelves were plastic. Seems when they melted, they formed a "cocoon" around most of the expensive tools, chainsaws, etc., and actually protected them from the fire! So thats a HUGE burden lifted, as my Brother was a wood cutter by trade. The hand tools arent going to burn, so they just have to be dug out.

Good to hear about the tools. And the chainsaw(s) are ok? I cut beetlekill over the summers for some extra $$, so I know how expensive a good Stihl/Husqy is...

Yeah! He has 4 Stihl saws, and it took him about 6 years to get those! It would have been pretty hard to replace them.

Does anyone know how to get into contact with Toyota Corporate or a local dealer? this could be great PR potential for them. Maybe they would want to help out?
