'09 Tacoma Access Cab Prerunner (2x4 6 Lug)

I've been searching the forums like crazy but I haven't been able to find a specific answer to this dilemma I currently have.

I've got a 2009 Tacoma Access Cab Prerunner. It is NOT a 4x4 but has the 6 lug wheels. The stock tires are 245/75R16's on a 16 x 7 wheel.

I am looking to upgrade this wheel to a 16 x 7.5 TRD beadlock wheel (PTR18-35090) and the dealer recommends a tire size of 265/70R16.

The forum here recommends a tire size of 265/75R16.

And the TX model of the Prerunner for 2009 came with these exact same wheels with a 285/75R16 tire.

I am not sure which to go with at this point???
Can anybody make any recommendations??

 

There was no T|X edition in 2009. And no tacoma comes from the factory with 285/75/16. If you are thinking of the Texas Edition, it came with 265/50/20's.

I recommend the 265/75/16, you will be able to run that with no trimming on the stock suspension.

 

265/75/16's it is then!
