Definitely achieved. I'm generally not a fan of overprocessed HDR, but the blue of your truck REALLY pops against the snow.

    I'm a fan!

    Well done.

the only thing good thing about Sigma's new 180mm 2.8 is it being a macro lens

I'd go with the 70-200 personally

On a side note I'm getting back to shooting sports, I've got a basketball game on Friday in a professional arena

I'd go with the 70-200. More useful.

I took a day trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico being that it's an hour away from my home town. This is a famous staircase in Santa Fe because its a full spiral stair case with out any support platforms. Back when this was built it didn't even have hand rails going around it.

Took this the night I got my Nikkor 35mm lens just to mess around with it, the only light used was the LED light staying on from my iPhone.

I'm looking to upgrade my camera this spring.

I'm looking at either getting a D700 with grip (if Nikon continues making them) or waiting to see if they release the D400 and grip

The one question I have is, would the D700 be a good sports camera? I will be shooting football next fall.

Looking at the filters, yes. But why bother? Just use the hood and lens cap as required.

If you absolutely have to have one, buy a good one. Cheaper will have less consistent coating and may even not be as neutral as you think either. You don't need the most expensive but at least buy something decent. Hoya, B+W are two examples of better and best respectfully.
