Hey I have a quick question just wanting to get some valuable TW input.

My trucks front license plate was just screwed in to the front bumper below the grill.

I went to remove the plastic dealer tag and the screws were going to leave ugly holes and take a little paint so I left them.

I hate front license plates. I think they look stupid. I grew up in Louisiana where they aren't required.

What I'm thinking of doing is either
A- Go through the trouble of filling in and painting the holes..
B- Find one of the toyota emblems like guys use on the satoshi grills and put it there.
    C- open to other ideas..

True story When I registered my first truck in TX and got 2 plates I just figured they gave me an extra and thought well that's nice because you hit them on trailers and such. Then I got stopped one day and asked why I didn't have one!

Bumperplug.com I believe is the website. Also have the plugs that cover your key hole on the door. Paint matches perfectly.

For the cleanest look, sand the area flat, fill the holes and repaint. This is obviously ridiculously expensive but you'd never know there were holes there. Otherwise those plugs seem like a pretty neat option. I wouldn't put a Satoshi emblem there, I think it would look out of place.

But it's not color matched. It's colour matched...

By the way, it took me 3 tries to type that correctly. I kept putting th 'U' in the first "color".

Had an idea, I can't decide if it would be cool or gay.

Anybody ever seen the little "spike" bolts? About 1/2 inch long. What if I just plugged the hole with that?

Im on the fence if it's gay or cool. I think cool cause I'd have little "horns" on the taco, gay because they are small and people would from a distance be like wtf is that? Oh spikes...

Actually as of Jan 1 NO plates are required in TX. The legislature accidentally removed all fines for not having plates (front or rear) - and our fearless leader, Rick Perry, signed it into law. Technically they can give you a ticket for not having plates, but there is no fine associated with the ticket. The legislature doesn't meet again until Jan 2013, so this most likely won't be changed until then.

I'm in texas goodbye front plate..just ordered a pair of bumper plugs. Also troopers have stopped me before for not having it and I always get a warning. It's in the law books so I guess they use it as pc to stop u. Here in south texas I think troopers have better things to do than write tickets for not having the front plate.
