    Carl:
Do you have a link to the information. I am still pissed that my former company gets to keep over $200 of flex spending that I could not use once I was terminated.

morning all: tom; don't think this will help you. this is called health care tax credit (HCTC). because of beth.steel going bankrupt, and health benefits being terminated, plus pension being handed over to (PBGC), we only have to pay 35% of premium. but something to do with the extended tax cuts drops that to 27.5% through 2014, retroactive back to march 2011. that's where the 7.5% difference comes from.

this info. came directly from the HCTC message list about changes in the program. ??? if this has anything to do with what you need I'll post the # to contact them, but I think you're talking about something different.

morning all: just purchased a carb. on E-bay for the "66". pretty rare carb that's the right #. got it for a reasonable price. at least I have a spare, just hope it's good. never have too many spare parts. just makes the checking account a little lighter.

I hate to think about the price Carl. I look at the prices of new carbs and $1000 can be spent rather quickly.

Yeah, between my son and I we manage to keep the driveway passable.

No problems here ... Cordova got hit pretty bad, called out National Guard and everything, that's probably what you're hearing about.

Two days ago it was down around 0F (give or take). Yesterday we gained 15 degrees, but it was a wash with 40MPH winds + gusts to 55MPH. Actually, I would just have soon lost the wind and gave back the 15 degrees. Last night temps up to 42F, and the thermometer outside the kitchen window says it's about that now. We're getting the full bag of tricks from the weather this year. Supposed to snow more the next few days ... if the temp stays warm, it'll be that heavy wet stuff again :annoyed:. That's when I'm thankful for my snowblower!

Take care folks...and have a great day.

one of the reasons I bought it. $350 for a rare carb. could pay $850 or more out at carlisle. it's a holley #3417. holley #3246 is an option, it was also on the big body L-72. those are pretty common. both listed at 780 cfm, but the 3417 flows 830 cfm. don't know the actual flow of the 3246.

as for rebuilding: I can rebuild these holleys. no kit has the proper throttle body to base plate gasket anymore, I have made more than one of these, everything else is pretty well 4150. only problem I worry about on these old carbs is that someone didn't crank the idle adjustment screws too tight, and messed up the metering block. don't know if that can be fixed.
