2nd Gen V6 manual to auto swap

Did a search and all that turned up was info about going from an auto to a manual. I have a 6 speed in my 09 V6 4x4, but wondering how involved it is to swap it out for an auto. What do I need from the donor vehicle?

"Sell it and get an auto" doesn't help me as I have no intention of selling the truck. Just curious,

 

My guess would be a lot. Apart from transmission, all the computers, plus wiring for them, plus the dash. That would only work if you can find the same truck, the same year with auto transmission and simply pull everything out of the salvage.

 

You're better off selling yours and buying an auto.

Let's see....transmission and possibly transfercase if it's a 4x4, driveshafts?, trans mount?, trans shifter cable and center console parts, instrument cluster with trans indicator in it, wiring harness and PCM from an auto truck, radiator with trans cooler in it, cooler lines, flexplate, maybe the starter?, pedal assembly, parking brake mechanism and cables, maybe the brake master cylinder reservoir (mine feeds the clutch as well, wouldn't need that on the auto).....that should get you started. Good luck, doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun to me.
