Sorry to many damn spark plug posts been reading for hour.

    1. my owners man says .043". I am not sure why or how you guys think it should be differant other then just saying it...

    2. Owners manual says use NGKs and Denso, it does not tell me what side to put them? Can you help. I have 3 of each only.

Keep your flames, i been working 13hrs last night....I can't search over an hour.

    Thanks

Understand, but I already bought 3 or each only. SO I would at least like to put them on the side that it came with. I guess I don't want to re-engineer what TOY did.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The gap is .039 - .043. And it doesn't matter which plug or what side you put the plugs on.

Have they been changed before? If not, then you'll know when you pull them.

If the plugs haven't been swapped since new, couldn't you just put replace them with the brand you take out?

Driver's side came with NGK, Passenger side with Denso according to this thread:

Right and left are irrelevant when working on a car, always use driver side and passenger side to avoid confusion to avoid confusion.

Thanks 98Taco27, That is exactly what I wanted to see. Spec says .039-.043" and looks like Toy don't care which plug to use...Plan as day on this sheet, Just not in my Owners Manual.

Wolpac I understand not every engineer is correct. But for a group that spends millions on CAI's, I have to go with the Eng's....SO what kind of CAI do you have.....?

Thanks guys, only 7 more hours and I have to be back at work for 13hrs shift...thanks

denso plugs are made by NGK.... just a little FYI. it doesnt matter. your truck doesnt have a brain that tells it one plug doesnt match the other. just ensure they are all the same heat index plug, change them, and drive to the store for victory beers.

How did you get from spark plugs to cold air intakes??

Keep in mind Toyota spends a lot of money to engineer a vehicle to meet a government mandated specification. They do NOT engineer a vehicle to be the best it can be. They did spend a lot of time and money engineering certain components, but not necessarily with the end user in mind...
