More than you think, you just have to know the secret spots, however Ocotillo Wells and Borrego have lots more cool stuff by 10X.



So why do you guys meet up at Superstition vs. Ocotillo wells? Lots more varied terrain in OW.

I am going out to Ocotillo Wells this weekend fri thru Monday, I went to Superstition on New Year weekend but it gets old out there, there are only so many places to go...and being its a lot of sand 4wd is really helpful, but I am sure you guys know the deal since you have been there before..

I will be bringing the Jeep out OW so maybe we can meet up somewhere and I can show you guys around Ocotillo wells if you wanted to to a little run, I could meet you guys at Trestles (railroad bridge) and we could mob out from there? Just an idea...
I am not going to go to Superstition for a while, it takes me an extra $100 in gas compared to OW and you have to drive down a dirt road for many miles and the Rangers have been hammering people with tickets and impounds this year so if you dont have current registration and they roll up on you, your truck is going to be on a flatbed within 1 hour. I saw them towing everything you could imagine all day long on New year weekend, boo! So be careful guys, especially people with trailered rigs and no registration.....they will take your ride!

Anyway if the OW thing sounds like a plan let me know, if not, I will look to se where your camp is and may be ride my bike over there and check you guys out..

So do you guys know what mile your camping at yet? I am not reading through the whole thread to find out...

Believe me I know, I've been gout out to OW,superstition and plaster city for the past 20 yrs pretty much since I was born haha. I agree with you super gets way old in a truck and has limited terrain if people don't want to leave and explore other areas. On a bike that's a whole other story! Just riding at superstition is a blast! lol I wish I was going dammit! have fun guys stay safe and take lots of pics!
