I would never put that glue on plastic crap on my truck

I see them on a lot of trucks up here... I'd rather keep my plain old non-scooped hood than glue on some cheap plastic alternative.

 

You know...I am pretty picky and think I have good taste as others have said so as well in the past but I have to tell ya.....I don't think it is that bad! It has the exact same specs of oem except you can obviously see the seem and it is blended in

 

Is their a way that you could bondo it onto the truck so you don't see the seem and so it looks like an actual scooped hood

You could do that but it's a lot of body work and there's no telling what happens with the different materials if the hood ever does flex.

Same specs as OEM but still just a glue on plastic piece... Not worth it for a look in my opinion. I really want the scoop on my truck but the only way it's going to happen is if I get a new hood. You can always tell when you see those which are stick-on and which hoods came with a scoop. To each his own, just not my taste.

 

It would never hold up. That was the problem with all of the body kits in the past. No way to attach plastic to metal. Once moisture gets in there....it just keeps seperating

 

I am agreeing with you as it is easy to do being that I have an OEM scooped hood myself but man....it looks so close!

 

That's disgusting. Just wait 'til it flies off while you're driving on the highway. It's even worse than the non-functional stock one... Haha.

 

It actually reminds me of the hood scoop on my buddy's diesel Hilux that he keeps in Costa Rica. It too looks glued on. Like this one:

 

I'm pretty sure that scoop is a factory scoop.
