    Rain Visors,
Ok well I no longer have my tacoma, Sold my F-250 and got a great used, chevy 1500 5.3 and works great, no payments, and does what I need it too.

on that note, being prior military, boy scout, and always prepared here is my list... I have a 30 MM ammo can with:
    1. 5x8 tarp
    2. 3 L of water
    3. Tie dows ratchet straps
    4. 5 MRE's
    5. Hatchet
    6. 500 FT of 550 Cord
    7. 10 Ft of 3/8 Chain
    8. First Aid Kit
    9. Glow sticks (5)
    10. 1 QT of Diesel fuel ( fre starter, cleaner, ect)

    In the cab.
    1. LED flashlight
    2. Leatherman
    3. Extra Hat
    4. Gloves
    5. Bandana
    6. 500 RDs of SIG .357 ammo
    7. Lighters, matches, I'm a smoker so they are always around.
    8. A copy of the Tora ( not really but a lot of ppl like to carry bibles with them....not sure why. Not judging but in an ACTUAL survival situation seems like it would be good for nothing more than kindling)

Funny story. I used to have a standard cab Dodge 2500, 5 speed. So i ALWAYS had a bag with MRE's and all that good stuff. But with the shifter it had to sit on passenger sear floor. GF HATED it complained all the time asking why its always there....

One day, in a nasty snow storm, Huge accicdent ( a semi jacknifed and wiped out 85 cars while very slowly sliding down a 7% hill)

So after sitting for 4 hours, I had to shut it down so when traffic did move, we had the fuel to get moving again. So we were there, hungry, freezing in 2 ft of snow with 8000 other cars...so i leaned over. Put on my extra clothes and made myself some chicken with salsa....then i heard the best question i have EVER heard...."im hungry can i have some?"

I looked her in the eye and said no....

we broke up not to long after.

I did share all my food and provisions, but had to prove my point first.

Do you keep all these things lose in your bag or do you keep them in a big zip lock? you could also lose the packaging on the glasses to save space (if that was a concern)

or a pencil. that way you dont have to worry about the ink running if it gets wet. or get an all weather pen. I have one and I forgot it in my pocket and I washed it... but I tried writting with it and it still worked! haha

EDIT: that looks like a mechanical pencil. see the extra lead?

Jez i'm not critisising your BOB so dont take this wrong but you are giving up alot of room in there for more stuff by having say that sharpie in the packaging still along with the saftey glasses ect, if you broke some of that stuff down you'd probably have room for another MRE or something;)

edit, i looked at your pic again, that pistol case is robbing you of all kinds of room!!

    constructive criticisim :)

I appreciate the input guys! No offense taken at all. I actually do have the contents in zip lock bags and I did remove the packaging. The day I took these pics is when I decided to throw the sharpie and the glasses in there. If you recall most of my items are in and around the truck or my tool box so I am constantly adding to and modifying the contents of the bag. As for the pistol case I keep it in the bag because it is an additional sealed storage container that could be used for many reasons.

The bag is ever evolving and right now I am not concerned about the loss of space. The medic bag actually is meant to be carried on the outside of the bag and clips to the bottom but I leave it in for ease. I do keep an additional pistol in the pistol box as well. If SHTF I will be more conscientious of the space/weight I have. As I add to the contents of the bag I will offload a few of these things.
