Stock, only for a short bit!
I'm headed to Atlanta on 1-22, I-20 all the way. I want to visit Macon and then up to Chickamunga. I love road trips!

Luis - when I was driving back and forth from Tx to Ca I preferred the Love's truck stops. Is there a better chain of choice in the East? I do prefer stopping at the truck stops over the local gas stations because it is faster to get in and out.

Thanks for the heads up about the construction on I-20 and I'm still on the fence about just staying on the interstate all the way to Macon. The mileage isn't big enough to sway me and since we will be driving at night I'll be able to keep my speed up. If I go on 80 I'll have all the little towns. Last time I drove through Selma at night I had hell finding gas.

Yeah for quick stops I recommend the Loves and Pilots for fast food. Petro and Travel Centers of America have 24/7 restaurants inside if you want a good meal. Use their websites to plan out your stops. I think they offer apps to have a list of their locations.

Is it for one 12" or what? You can go to the Mexican flea market and get one cheap. I was going to. Hold my own but just bought one from best buy instead back when they had the really nice qlogic truck boxes.

Yeah that sounds like a nice design. I had a real problem finding anyone that made stuff for 10's because everyone apparently has gone to 12's. It is really hard to make the box, just time consuming. Good luck

Sometimes too you'll find people giving away the PDF wood for the boxes on CL

I built one exactly like that for my old S-10. Wasn't too hard. See if I can find the pics of it.

I say try to build it yourself. I have a friend that runs a stereo shop in Arlington but he is not really able to discount custom boxes since it's mostly labor cost.
Make sure the box has no leaks and I would coat the inside with fiberglass resin. It will fill any air leaks and give it a little more strength.
You may also want to see if Steven(italynstyln) might be able to help.
