I live in Oldham County, about 15 mins outside of Louisville if you aren't familiar with the area. I don't knot of any trails around here, but if you find some nearby I'd def be down to go.

That would be me, I got about 20 pictures of it, got a carfox, and took a chance after talking to the PO. As far as being worth it I would have to say definitely, even with gas and plane ticket I got a helluva deal on a super clean truck. Just be ready to turn around and go home of it isn't everything the seller promises. Its difficult to have that mentality going into a purchase like that but that would be my main advice.

All in all it was worth it, but then I had no problem taking the time off work and even had family in Cali that let me check everything over while I was there.

    I say go for it!

awesome thanks! My biggest fear is getting out there and it being a total bust. lol I guess I could always turn it in to a little vacation if it doesn't work. I think I remember you saying you just left the Cali plates on and drove it home? Ive never bought a vehicle outside of a dealership, much less out of the state. Don't know how any of that legal crap works.

    Try to stay warm everyone!

 didn't see your post. I tried to get a hold of that one with the 95 in Troy but wasn't able to get through to him. Price is a bit high but I may be able to talk him down if I can get a hold of him.

Haven't quite decided yet if I want an auto or manual. Going to need to tow a cargo trailer with about 2klbs of stuff in it. Not sure what trans. will be better for that.

Yeah the plates follow the vehicle in Cali, the owner had a bill of sale written up and I had a certified bank check. Signed the title on the top level of the LAX parking garage and got outta town. Called my insurance company and they had a card waiting for me when I got home.

Good luck searching and keep checking sites, I found mine on ttora on a Monday and flew out Wednesday morning. And I only looked for ~2 years before I found one that I liked enough lol

Thanks a lot for the info!!! I didn't think about watching any of the sites. I have a craiglist scanner on my phone searching in about 20 different cities. I will have to add the forums to my search list it sounds like.

    2006 Corvette Z51 M6. Best mod ever!

I have bought two cars from Texas with no problems. When I did talk to the owner. I told them up front if I am coming out there I am coming out there to buy the car not just to look at it so go over everything with me in detail.

My last Taco I had I bought from SC talked to the PO for over an hour on the phone. I found my Taco on Cars.com You never know where one will pop up.
    Good luck.

Thanks!! I definitely plan to tell them I am buying if I am going all the way out there. Hopefully I get a decent person that won't screw me. Trying to get a southern/southwest truck if at all possible. Really don't want to deal with rust.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Shady. My truck sat the same with no lift...maybe just pictures? Also, they have torsion bar front suspension. Would think the ride would be horrible if he managed to get 3" out of the front end cranking up the bars. 32x11.50 will mount up stock with no rubbing even with flaps on.

lol yeah my pickup had t-bars. My buddy had a 91 p/u with the t-bars cranked and blocks in the back... That thing rode like crap. If I did a lift, I would most likely go LT in the future (most likely moving to TX after school in Louisiana) and ditch the t-bars for coilover set up. Thats a ways down the road though.

Who's got the cleanest truck on here??
Lol! Love that I get to wash it every week at work, but I'm not sure I'll buy another black truck... It looked white when I pulled it in

Nice, I didn't know there was one that close. I wish their site had some photos of the trails. I'm all stock.

Looks good. I'm particular too. This Salt makes me want to move south. You can practically hear our trucks rusting.
