BUILD A HISTORY ON YOUR TACO...must read

So I was cruising the Android Markeplace and came across an app that you all need to know about(I dont think this app is available on the iPhone). Its called "aCar" and its freaking bad ass. I wanted something to keep track of my gas mileage but this thing does everything. I went for the free version and ended up paying the 5 dollars for the full version after only 2 days.

You input everything like you would on fuelly but this app is with you all the time unlike you having to login on a computer or smartphone. I was able to edit the app from the settings tab and insert a place for "mods/upgrades". I can hit one button and it show me how much I have spent on gas, how much I spend on each mod, when I put them on, etc.

It also lets you export all this information into a spreadsheet and boom....you have the full history. My truck only has 23K miles on it but when I finally sell it at 200K+ someone will be able to see I took very good care of it. Everything is inputted based on the odometer and then you can set reminders. So this app will remind me when its time for fuel injector cleaner, when I hit my 3,000 miles for oil change, when battery was installed....everything.

Have nothing to do with the people who created this app but had to share. Oh, it also has a place for statistics and you can display graphs on just about everything.

I have been using it for the last 5 months or so. I am really happy with it. I havent paid for the upgraded version but the functionality of the app is awesome. I track my fuel useage, mileage, maintenance and repairs. I like the way it tracks the average daily cost to operate my truck from insurance costs to average fuel costs. I can get my average MPG when towing my trailer seperate from my daily driving. I discovered the app when I was looking to see if there was a fuelly app and I decided to give this one a try. I am 100% happy I downloaded Acar to my phone.

 

Glad someone else knows about it. Its really freaking awesome and one of the best apps I have. The upgraded version opens up charts and graphs that are really useful as well.

Downloading now. Nice app, I will use this for years with my 2011 Tacoma. Went back & guesstimated the dates on my 5000,10000, & 15,000 mile oil changes. I'm due for the 20,000 mile now.

 

It needs an option for a tire size multiplier. As it is I have to multiply my odo readout by 1.07 first and then enter it in. It would be nicer if it did it for you. But so far it seems pretty good. Well thought out. I contacted the developer with the suggestion.
