At first I thought he snapped his leg (bone), definitely looked like ligament damage.

Bama has certainly reinforced the whole
"offense wins games, defense wins championships" school of thought

I wonder how much longer Saban will stick around. The guy is getting up there. Can Bama hold on to him for another NC?

True, looking back at this SEC run, it's amazing what they did to these so called prolific offenses.

He could leave tomorrow, and we all know he's said one thing and done another at La State and the Dolphins.

The few people who know him seem to think he'll retire at Alabama. Many football coaches who are allowed to stick around can coach until 70, and he's only 60. He's secured his legacy, and he's financially set for life, so who knows if he'll want to coach another 10 years.

I'd be happy if we got another 5 years out of him. I think we could realistically see another 2 championships in that time, which would give him 5 (4 at Bama), second only to the Bear.

It was a dislocated hip, which sounds painful as hell. Apparently it's just a 6 week recovery time. No ligament damage, which is great news.

I couldn't watch the replays. I was a bit surprised they kept showing it over and over.

La State only crossed the 50 yard line one time... That drive ended in a 4th and 18 attempt where Bama got a sack-fumble and recovered the ball on the La State 49 1/2. So yes, they crossed the 50, but Bama also beat them back to their own side before the drive ended.

It was really an xbox like beatdown. Only thing lacking was a 70-0 score. It was an impressive display, nobody can deny that!

If Saban does move on to whatever he wants to do for the rest of his life, I want Kirby Smart as head coach. He knows the system and Bama's culture and is just as much of a defensive mastermind that Saban is. That being said, I want Saban to get those 2 more. Realistically, he has dominated the recruiting the past few years and next year's team could be a younger version of this year's. Needless to say, this is my last post in this thread as I want next season to come along :D

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
So out of all the rankings, and the wonderful BCS computer, they picked Bama and LSU for the NC. That game was full of suck, but all the other bowl games were absolutely glorious. At least the ones I watched. So here's one for the Horn's to be a stronger team next year and put on a good show in the NC next year like the one in Jan 06':headbang:
