Having owned a Tacoma previously I remembered what a breeze it is to perform this service. I even had a factory filter in the cabinet. While cleaning the barn I found 2 jugs of Valvoline full synthetic 5w-30 that I thought were trash. Only 600+- miles so far, but the nights are cold so why not. I too will forgo the free factory service. I like the peace of mind of doing it right/doing it myself.

I agree on the peace of mind doing it yourself but if the dealership will do it for free, why not take advantage!!;)
