New headlight and fog light bulbs.

Yes, it's a newb question, searched a little and found many of you have mixed feelings about the Silverstars (all I can get locally), so what do you recommend? I just noticed my drivers side low beam and passenger side fog is out (weird that they both happened at the same time), so I need to get in there ASAP. No interest in HIDs since I want to keep the housings and everything stock, but I figure, while I'm replacing, if I can get something better than stock, why not? Going to have to go online for them, so if you have recommendations for a retailer, that would be great, too. Thanks!

 

I like PIAA Xtreme White for the headlights and Nokya Arctic Yellow for the fogs. I got both at Amazon.

 

I had sylvania silverstars in my headlights before my retros and they were really good. Quite a bit brighter then stock so I liked them. I only had them on for a little over a year so I'm not really sure how good their longevity is.

 

I have PIAA Intense White in my headlights, and Xtreme White Plus in the fogs. I've always had good luck w/PIAA for longevity, esp compared to Sylvania.

 

i would recommend going with something like this, i listened to pugga when he recommended it to me, but got the intense white headlights instead. either one will work quite well, but i really dont thing i have ever run across a fog light bulb that i liked better than the nokya's without having to go HID or upgrade a harness or something like that (no simple replacement bulb). i ran the sylvania in every car i owned since prob the early 2000's when they first came out. good choice if you dont know what else is out there, but once you find out they really cant hold a candle to what else is out there esp with the deals you can find on Amazon. so i would say PIAA's for headlights and def nokya's for fogs.

 

Been thinking about changing my bulbs out. Anyone know what Part number i need?

6000k HID are nice!

 

you don't need to change your housings to install HIDs. just plug n play and they are still all stock!

 

I don't know the bulb part number but here are the bulb types. If you search Amazon for PIAA Xtreme White H10 and PIAA Intense White H4, you'll find both of them or check PIAA's website for part numbers (I couldn't find the Xtreme White for the fogs).

But if you're going to throw HIDs into a stock housing, you shouldn't keep it stock, you should retrofit projectors into the housing. Stock housings are not meant to have HID bulbs in them.
