So I snagged up a steal of a deal on an Alpine INA-W900BT during the boxing day shenanigans...498 to be exact :D So now I need to get this puppy in there...having trouble with finding the proper fit kit and modules needed to retain steering wheel blutooth/audio controls as well as the proper bypass module. Any help is much appreciated.

Are all of your controls the same as 05-11?

Canadian version doesn't have entune availability so its just standard...not entirely sure how the pre 12's are setup but on the left side I have volume, mode, arrows and on the right side I have the 3 buttons for bluetooth with the oem deck...talk, pickup, hangup keys.

I'm sure you do... But I just figure I will ask. Do you have a 6CD changer and stock amp/sub combo?

EDIT: Just did some homework... the 2012's have something different going on with the sound system. Some of these components do not work on them. Let me see if I can find out what is different and if anything is available yet.

Here is what you will need for the install... I would recommend Youtube to find the necessary bypass, as every headunit is different.

Scosche TA2053S9B ISO Double Din Installation Kit
PAC swi-jac for the steering wheel controls
    Metra TYTO-01

So far from the research I have done they don't make a an amp bypass kit for the jbl system. Even if they did it is rare that they retain factory steering wheel controls so you would probably need a swi-jac or something. Check what scoche or crutchfield has online. Honestly the best option is find a trusted local 12v shop in town and let one of the techs take a look at it and give you the run down on what it will need for sure. They may have an integration piece for you or it may be an amp bypass. Not so sure on the 2012 stuff I have been out of 12v for almost a year so I am falling a little behind. If you love your truck talk to an expert for sure. Either way I will talk to a few of my old coworkers and see what I can find for you.

And yes ASWC is MUCH MUCH easier to install than the swi-jac but you get the idea.

I was thinking swi-jac as that's what I have, but I instead typed the Axxess... And why would he need an amp bypass? He currently doesn't have one. He will be using the amp that is in the HU if I am not mistaken?

You shouldn't need an amp bypass you would need the TYTO of some type of integration piece. Not sure what works on the 2012 models but the TYTO sounds right. I'm not so sure the bypass would be needed on the jbl stuff with the integration piece. I haven't gotten to dig into a 2012 yet so let me know what you find out but you are on the right track for sure.

GREAT price, recently paid $899usd for same unit. BTW check out crutchfield.com there are alot of upgrades available for this unit such as a mini amp, sat radio, HD radio, rear camera and many more. Good luck.

So I'm getting things lined up...what do you figure:
Scosche TA2053S9B ISO Double Din Installation Kit
    Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Control
Scosche TA02B Wiring Harness for 87+ Toyota

Or should I go with the Metra TYTO-01...I don't even know if this works as I DO NOT have the JBL setup.

I think TA02B will work. They don't have anything loaded online for the 2012 so if you look at the 2011 it does call for a TA02B so that would be what I would try. If it is jbl it will be the TA07SR. So if the 02B won't do it I would actually start looking at the TA07SR but yeah it calls for the TA02B.

I prefer metra personally but if you can get a good deal on scoche go for it. It is basically a brand name difference on most of their stuff.

The Scosche TA205359B will not fit well in the 2012 Tacoma's dash. The curve of the dash is shallwer than the 2011's and older, so the there is a large gap at the center edge. The clips all line up and the face will snap in, I changed the center trim with the vents to the 2011 and every thing lined up, Looks Factory Now.
