South Lake Tahoe snowboarding cabin trip 1/27/12 - 1/29/12

I've been waiting for something like this also. Going to Heavenly towards the end of the month...

 

I just got back from South Lake Tahoe. I was up there the 30th-3rd. We rode at Heavenly and only 18% of the mountain is open. Tickets are 95 bucks!! We always go for New Years for snow globe and for the party on state line during countdown. It was really odd being there this year with the mountains bare and barely any snow around. Either way Tahoe is a lot of fun. Is this trip booked?

 

The cabin is booked, and everyone going has paid an initial deposit. I think I'll collect the remaining balance from everyone the day of the trip when we get to the cabin. I have a feeling some people will want to add in last minute, and if they do, that means cheaper for everyone

Also, we're going to Sierra, and discounted lift tickets are ~$50 each woot!!!

If anyone else wants in on the trip, there's still room in the cabin.

 

I was just in Tahoe for New Years at Snowglobe, it was so weird having no snow! I might be down for this trip, we'll see how work pans out.

unfortunitly i won't be making it up after allto board with you guys. I have a new job and my days off are wednesday thursday (life of a chef)....it actully works out a little better for me because i can go up during the week to board when nobody else is there...ow we just need some more snow. I've been to northstar a couple times already and the snow is decent just not enough of it!!!!!

Anyone going for the day? I would be down to carpool up there to save on gas for a day. Either the 28th or 29th. We could drive either my 4runner or your Tacoma.

I will also be in South Lake this weekend and riding at sierra. I will say whats up if I see some taco's there.

 

I just looked at my schedule, I have duty that Friday. I'm going to try and get it off... when are we all talking about meeting up and leaving?

 

I was thinking early Friday. But when time gets closer, we'll see if anyone else work constraints and has to leave later too, then you guys can coordinate carpool/caravan

 

If I get stuck on duty, that means I can't leave until Saturday morning. We shall see.

 

So is Sierra opened? I can believe there is no snow in the near future.
