Possibly dual transfer cases. I hear the tinsel strength of skanks from the shore are double that of your average hoe.

i'm sure with a handful of snatch blocks we could hook up a pulley system adequate enough to move her along

I'm sure this has been covered, but 71 pages of posts is too much for me to want to sift through. Anyway's I'm planning on taking the 88 up there on a trailer, but would like an idea of what equipment to bring. This list I have so far is:

Gear oil, cv axles, tools, coolant, gas containers, and straps.

Thanks in advance for the advice, and guidance :)

I don't its as common here. TTORA meets it seems pretty common. Really just depends on how hard you wheel. You lock the front then you should ALWAYS have at least one spare axle. If you go Mid travel too and don't have limit straps you could lock em up too.

I don't see our group doing anything that would jeopardize CVs. Not yet anyways :p

but really...recovery gear, fluids, any spare parts you have around, jacks (hi-lift or floor), tools you feel necessary, lights, water....

idk how many trails we plan on running where gas will be an issue, but that's up to you...we're not far from town and most trails are within the range of most tanks..white rim is the only one really i can think of that will push your tank limits.

most the wheeling that this group will be doing won't come across the risk of breaking cvs but it's a piece of mind thing, knowing that you have one...and the tools to swap one out on the trail

those rigs going on the harder trails run a higher risk, but as long as your not hopping your truck and spinning tires all over the place, smart wheeling will keep your cvs in the lower risk

I wouldn't really mind if my trailer didn't sell before moab...

I can bring plenty of supplies in that thing

I just replaced the drivers side with a vatozone reman CV. Seems to be holding up fine and it was only 60 bucks with lifetime warranty and after returning my superior OEM shaft for the core charge (100 bucks:eek:).

I might just go buy one, bring it on the trip and if I don't need it just return it when I get home

but I don't see CV's being a problem for us semi stock guys.
