Have them mounted at your local Discount tire Co. they do really well and can order you the proper lug nuts! I just ordered a different set than I have now. what I currently have are know as Spline lug nuts and they cause some vibration at high way speeds around 75-80 mph. but be warned as I was told by Discount tire Co. that Toyota is VERY sensitive when it comes to lug nuts! Do not get Spline lug nuts. I can't remember what the new lug nuts I ordered are called but they are the correct ones!

Why can't you run spline lug nuts? As long as the comical seat has the same angle as the seat on the wheel, there would be no issue. In fact if you are running aftermarket rims, there's nothing coming into play that is even made by Toyota, except the studs. sounds like you got fed a line.

I am running aftermarket wheels, I was told by discount themselves that toyota is very sensitive to aftermarket lug nuts which I agree. Im not saying that Spine lug nuts are a bad choice if you do just city driving, but I've recently started traveling around the my home state and driving at high speed does cause a vibration that discount told me that would happen by using spline lug nuts. I think the discount guy told me that my new lugs will be closed cap lug nuts or something of that matter. what I'm saying is that spline lug nuts are a hit or miss to causing vibrations. I just happened to be an individual who had vibrations happen!

Never heard of anyone having a vibration issue that turned out to be lug nuts before. In fact they are so close to the center of rotational mass that I bet you could run with 5 lug nuts instead of six and not even notice, but whatever worked for you.
